Purpose
Todwick Parish Council operates CCTV at the Recreation Ground to deter crime, promote safety, protect assets, and assist law enforcement when necessary.
Important note on parish-wide CCTV
This notice applies only to CCTV operated at the Recreation Ground by Todwick Parish Council. Parish-wide cameras across the village are owned and managed by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC). For information on that system, please contact RMBC.
Lawful basis
Processing is justified under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(e) (public task).
What information is collected
The system records video images only. No audio recording is used.
Retention
Images are retained for up to 30 days, unless required for evidence in an investigation. After that they are securely deleted.
Sharing and disclosure
Images may be shared with police or law enforcement where lawful. They will not be shared for commercial purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to images of yourself. Requests must be made in writing to the Parish Clerk. The Council will respond within one month.
